About Us

Transforming students into the next generation of engineers, innovators, and leaders.

Our Mission

STEM+C transforms students into the next generation of engineers, innovators, and leaders through hands-on robotics, real-world projects, and mentorship from industry professionals.

Our Vision

A future where every student has access to authentic engineering experiences and pathways to high-impact STEM careers.

Who We Are

STEM+C is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Gilbert, Arizona. We've been teaching robotics and engineering for over a decade through competitions, clubs, workshops, and mentorship.

We're community-based—not tied to any one school. Students from any school (or homeschool) can join our teams, and students of all experience levels are welcome—no prior robotics background required.

Why We Exist

The engineers, software developers, technicians, and technology leaders of tomorrow are sitting in today's classrooms. STEM+C bridges the gap between education and industry by giving students access to real engineering projects, professional mentors, and experiences that prepare them for college and careers.

Building Arizona's future engineering workforce—one student at a time.

FIRST Robotics Partnership

We are proud partners with FIRST (firstinspires.org), and have competed in:

2
Years
FIRST LEGO League (FLL)
7
Years
FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC)
1
Year
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC)

Our Philosophy

We believe learning is messy—and that's a good thing. We encourage trial, error, iteration, and exploration. Our motto, from FDR, says it best:

"It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something."

— Franklin D. Roosevelt

Our Impact

Mentorship & Safety

Industry Mentors

Unlike school-based programs led by teachers, our students work directly with engineering and business professionals from Arizona's robotics, semiconductor, and automation industries. Our mentors bring real-world experience in software development, mechanical engineering, project management, and more—helping students become confident, capable, and career-ready.

Safe Environment

Safety is a top priority. All mentors and volunteers are background-checked, and we maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students at all times.
